Google Presents Night Sight At Pixel 3 And Pixel 3 XL

If we hear the name Google, maybe it's not something that is familiar to all of us. But, not everyone knows if Google also has Google Pixel which is their flagship smartphone. Speaking of Google Pixel, finally Google will release Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL. When this article was published, I don't know for sure when Google Pixel 3 was officially released. Although it will be officially released in October 2018, but unfortunately Indonesia won't get Google Pixel 3.

There are as many as 13 countries that will get Google Pixel 3, including the United States, Britain, Singapore, Japan, Ireland, Taiwan, Australia, Germany, Italy, Canada, Spain, India and France. Unfortunately, Indonesia is not included in the list of countries that will get Google Pixel 3. This latest Night Sight feature will be one with the Google Camera application update. Interestingly, this feature will also be compatible with the first generation Pixel 3, Pixel 2 and Pixel smartphones. Although when a demo conducted by Google last month showed this feature was only focused on the use of a back camera, Google claims that the Night Sight feature will also be used on the front camera on all Pixel smartphones, but even though this feature will be used on all Pixel smartphones, chances are that the photos with the Night Sight feature obtained on the Pixel 3 smartphone will be better than other Pixel smartphones. This is because Google has improved machine learning capabilities specifically on the Pixel 3 XL smartphone camera.

For how it works, the Night Sight feature will automatically read every situation and measure the movements that exist on the object to be photographed and take into account the stability of the user's hand. After that, this feature will take into account whether the lens needs to capture more light or just need a little light to maximize the results of the object being photographed. Then combined with the machine learning algorithm to adjust all the colors that exist on the photo object, thus creating bright and sharp photos.

Google reportedly just released a new mode for its camera application. This mode is called Night Sight Mode and is available for Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices. Fortunately, no fees or additional devices are needed to enjoy this mode. Because, this mode is given by Google in the update of the Google Camera application. As the name implies, Night Sight will allow Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL cameras to capture images even in low light conditions. The result is claimed to be equivalent when using Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL cameras with sufficient light conditions.

To be able to do this, Google relied on artificial intelligence in its camera application. Later, Google cameras will sew a number of frames of images taken. The result, noise due to lack of light will decrease. Not only that, the color and brightness of the image will be significantly improved. Before a photo is taken, Night Sight will calculate images using motion metering. This method will detect mobile movements, objects in the scene and the amount of light available to decide how much exposure is needed. Generally, Night Sight mode takes six seconds to capture 15 frames into one image.

At first glance, this mode will look like a long-exposure photo in general. But Google, in fact, presents a smarter model when capturing images in low light conditions. Previously it needed a tripod to do long-exposure photos like this. But with Night Sight on Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, this can be done directly with the user's hand.
